AN OVERVIEW OF A RECORDING STUDIO

Course length:

Aimed at delegates:
With little or no experience in a recording studio who wish to learn the basics of recording and production techniques.

This course is ideal if you are deciding if a career within the recording industry is for you.

Areas covered:
• Microphone selection 
• Basic microphone techniques
• The signal path                       
• An overview of a large format console
• Multi track recording
• Principals of mixing

Course Structure:
Under the guidance of a professional sound engineer participants will experience the recording process by recording a live act in the studio.        

The emphasis is on ‘hands on’ learning with participants encouraged to be involved and ask questions at every stage of the day.

Numbers are limited to 4 people per course. Participants will leave with a CD of the completed mix and will be sent the multi-track files should they wish to work further with the material.  A certificate is also provided.

Cost:
£100 + Vat.

The full fee is payable on booking. An 50% refund will be given for cancellations made one week or more before course date. Payment accepted by debit cards, credit card, cheque or cash.
